Funny Pedometer Instructions
A few days ago, Jan got a new pedometer as part of her company's health program initiative.
It was made in China.
That alone should be 'nuff said, but the instructions that came with it are so funny, I just had to share them with you here.
Here is the funniest part of the "LCD Stepping Meter Operation Manual" (a single piece of paper about 3" wide by 4" tall):
OPERATION:
1. The stepping meter can only count correctly under the flat plant.
2. Under the following condition, the stepping meter can't count correctly
. (i) Moonwalk, Wearing Sandal
. (ii) When walking in the tricky condition
. (iii) Vibration without walking
3. The stepping meter can be reset by pressing the "reset" button.
It might be better not to speculate at all about what some of those actually mean! GRIN!
Actually, the instructions are probably something that makes perfect sense in Chinese; and someone in China, perhaps someon who's had a class or two in English, got a Chinese-English dictionary and simply did a literal translation.
It would be fascinating to learn what some of those really meant.
